When Pigs Fly

August 4, 2026 - The term "when pigs fly" refers to something that will never happen - an impossible event or outcome that will never occur.

But as we are told in Luke 1:37, "For with God, nothing shall be impossible." What exactly does that mean and how can we experience the impossible in our lives?

1. Another helpful phrase is the fact that failing to plan is planning to fail. While some positive outcomes may occur in our lives without much effort on our part, the likelihood is that we will need to contribute to the blessings we seek,
2. Trusting that God has our best interest at heart requires us to put our own expectations aside. What can you do to increase your faith in Him?
3. Look back over your life. When have seen the impossible happen, when everything around you seemed to indicate abject failure?
4. What blessings seem totally out of reach? Is there anything you can do to be better prepared for the time when those blessings will come?
5. It is so easy to slip into doubt and fear when things aren't happening as we wish they would. What one small thing can you do to be more positive and optimistic?

So, take a look at what is going on in your life this week and figure out a way to plan and better prepared for what is to come. And who knows? Maybe those metaphorical pigs just might take flight!
